The Chesa Arnica is located in La Punt, 14 km from St. Moritz. It consists of five furnished 2½-room apartment. The location is quiet and very sunny with a beautiful view of the Engadine mountains. Many opportunities to do sports. Hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, skiing, bobsled etc. Just enjoy it.

All apartments were renovated in 2013. They are: new kitchen, new bathrooms, new lighting, new flooring and partly some new furniture, new flat screens.

The apartment consists of a cozy living room with sofa bed, dining area, sitting area, fireplace, flat screen TV with radio function , fitted kitchen, 1 bedroom with double bed and fitted wardrobes, bathroom / WC, parking. 

Pets are not allowed.

Grocery stores are 400 meters, 200 meters restaurants and the bus stop and the train station 300 meters away.

Since July 2008, the Albula and Bernina lines of the Rhaetian Railway have been on the UNESCO list of World Heritage sites. Where landscape and railway blend into one: in a series of wide expanses and elegant man-made structures, along the winding route through abruptly-sloping Alpine valleys. Monumental landmarks along the way include the Landwasser Viaduct, the series of winding tunnels between Bergün and Preda and the Circular Viaduct at Brusio. The line continues to be a model of its type.

Excursion possibilities: However, the picturesque village also enjoys a strategically favourable location at the sunny foot of the Albula Pass, directly by the River Inn. Or in other words, at the departure point for varied tours by mountain bike, racing bike, in-line skates or on foot – for example, along the high-altitude trail. Moreover, La Punt Chamues-ch is located at the beginning of a ruggedly romantic secret. The Val Chamuera is considered the most primeval valley in all of the Engadin. And on the Alp Serlas, there is no kiosk to attract visitors, but rather an indescribable feeling of happiness evoked by the beautiful, unspoilt nature.

Location description: The name reveals the fact that La Punt Chamues-ch consists of two parts. Chamues-ch is the older. The first written record of this former farming village dates from 1137, when the bishop of Chur bought it from the Count of Gamertingen. The beautiful old farmhouses nearly all date from after 1499 – when, during the Swabian War, the inhabitants set fire to their wooden houses in the face of the advancing enemy to encourage them to turn back. The other part of the village, La Punt (“The Bridge”), grew with the increasing trade activity over the Albula Pass. The wealthy trading families of Albertini und Pirani built grand patrician houses here in the 16th and 17th centuries. The village is also home to elaborately decorated farmhouses, as well as the impressive Sandoz house with its hall-like passageway through to the middle of the building – and of course the famous restaurant Chesa Pirani, with its baroque panelled parlour and two Michelin stars.

    “Gute Lage mit schöner Sicht und angenehmer Umgebung. Gut ausgestattete, sehr saubere Wohnung mit guten Betten samt Bettinhalt auch im Wohnzimmer. Alle Ziele im Ober- und Unterengadin sind mit öffentlichem Verkehr sehr gut erreichbar. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Restaurant: Hotel Restaurant Schweizerhaus in Maloja. - Nach einer Wanderung nach Maloja ist es ein jedesmal ein Genuss, auf der Terasse des Schweizerhauses fein zu essen. Ausflüge: Höhenweg von Sils Baselgia nach Maloja und weiter über Isola nach Sils Maria - Einstieg in Sils Baselgia (Strasse queren), ab da Wegweiser. Es braucht etwas Aussdauer, gute Schuhe und Trittsicherheit (T2). Schöner blick auf die Seen mal von der anderen Talseite her.”

    “Lage, Wohnung und das schöne Wetter haben unsere Erwartungen bestens erfüllt. Positiv: die günstige Lage, öffentliche Verkehrsmittel ganz in der Nähe
    Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. Negativ: In La Punt gibt es nach unserer Meinung zu wenig Restaurants. Restaurant: Restaurant Albula - Vielseitige Menus. Ausgezeichnete Küche.
    Sehr guter und sympathischer Service. Ausflüge: Wandern: Fextal, entlang Silvaplaner-/Silsersee, Unterengadin, Nationalpark usw./ - Ausflugsempfehlung entsprechen den Bedürfnissen/Wünschen der Gäste.
    Überall wunderschöne, markierte Wanderwege”

    “Positiv: Schlüsselübergabe war unkompliziert,ruhige Lage mit herrlicher Aussicht. Onlinebuchung klappte sehr gut Negativ: Die Sitzgruppe ist nicht sehr bequem, im Wohnbereich könnte die Beleuchtung besser sein”

    “5! t was a very good experience and it is certainly worth staying. Probably the fact that we were were only with the 2 of us. The comfort was nice - new kitchen - good bath-&bedroom: the terrace works for 2 people - not for 4: the access & overall quality were great!”
