Holiday home Jasmijn with garden and terrace

The harbor house is a modern house with a beautiful view over the Lauwersmeer. The house is fully equipped and the garden is completely fenced. Well behaved dogs are welcome.

House Jasmijn has a living space of approx. 80 m² and can accommodate up to 6 people. On the ground floor are the three bedrooms, one with a double bed, the other two have 2 single beds each (80x200). From the kitchen, you have access to the terrace. There is a bathroom with shower and a toilet. There is also an outside walk-in storage room. The living room in the attic has "panoramic windows" and a beautiful view over the marina and the Lauwersmeer. From there you have access to the covered balcony. A washing machine and a dishwasher are available. The parking is located on the property completely fenced plot. There is (DE) Sat. tv and (NL) Kabel tv.

Oostmahorn is an old stronghold at the at the western side of the Lauwerslake with a rich history, dating back to the sixteenth century. Nowadays it’s a very pleasant tourist destination at the National Park Lauwersmeer, hosting several holiday resorts.

The lake itself and the direct surroundings are a true paradise for nature lovers, fisherman, water sports enthusiasts, cyclists and hikers. Dogs are more than welcome here as well. There’s a special beach and a forest for them at Lauwersoog.

Within a couple of hundreds of meters there are several playgrounds for children. At the beach, in the small resort ‘De Skâns’ and in Esonstad - which is a holiday resort build as a replica of a typical old Frysian city. In Esonstad you’ll even find a bouncy castle and an indoor playing hall and one can play golf and foot golf here at the local Pitch & Putt area. Renting a bicycle or e-chopper is also possible here.

In Esonstad you can easily do your daily groceries (a bigger supermarkt is just a couple of kilometers away in Anjum) or find a restaurant, pizzeria or a snackbar.
Another three restaurants are even closer to your holiday house. Some of them offer spectacular lake views. Other good options to enjoy the local seafood cuisine are the sea harbor of Lauwersoog at the northern side of the lake, the old fishing village of Zoutkamp at the eastside of the lake or at Dokkum, the most northern fortified city of Friesland.

To discover the National Park from the waterside you could bring your own boat or surf gear but there are boats and sailing boats for rent as well at ‘Paviljoen La Barca’. If you’re more into cat sailing, try the local cat-club ‘Omaho’, next to the small marina.

A boat-tour, sailing trip to Dokkum, bird or seal expedition can be booked around the corner and a ferry to the beautiful island of Schiermonnikoog, with it’s many miles of sandy beaches, is leaving from Oostmahorn as well.

The Lauwerslake (Lauwersmeer in dutch) is truly loved by fishermen for its large bream, roach, pike, perch and eel. At the reception of Holland1 you can obtain a fishing permit.

Do you like to walk and do you want to relax? Then visit the fishing village of Paesens-Moddergat with its small museum and experience the Wadden Sea World Heritage with its largest unbroken system of intertidal sand and mud flats in the world. Hiking over the mudflats of the Wadden Sea certainly is one of the most memorable activities in the Netherlands. Guided tours can be booked here every day of the year.

Or just stay and enjoy yourself at your holiday house. Just don’t forget to look up at the universe on a clear night. With the title Dark Sky Park, Lauwersmeer National Park is one of the world’s darkest places. Here, you can truly experience nature in the dark!

    Leider war bei uns nicht ordentlich geputzt und das bei einer Summe von 78EuR für die Endreinigung.
    Die Leisten unter den Möbeln waren regelrecht schmutzig, nicht staubig. Die Lampe in der Küche hat schon seit längerem keinen Putzlappen mehr gesehen. Leider kommen nicht nur Gäste mit Hunden sondern auch, wie in unserem Fall Gäste mit Kleinen Kindern.
    Das Gästebett war überhaupt nicht zu gebrauchen. Komplett verdreckt und die Matratze einzeln im Schuppen verstaut.
    Die Gartenmöbel waren alle noch mit Vogelkot verschmutzt und voller Spinnweben. Die Terrasse sowie den Grill mussten wir erst säubern.
    Das kleine Zimmer gleich links neben dem Eingang hat unmöglich gerochen, so dass man nicht schlafen konnte. Wir mussten durchgängig dass Fenster offen lassen, obwohl es bei uns schon sehr kühl war.

    “Besser gehts nicht. Perfekt ausgestattetes Ferienhaus mit tollem Blick über den Yachthafen. Besonders empfehlenswert für Hundebesitzer da komplett eingezäunt. Wir (2 Erwachsene , 1 Kind, 1 Hund) haben uns alle sehr wohl gefühlt. Hier stimmt einfach alles. Angefangen von der perfekten und unkomplizierten Abwicklung über die Vermieter Familie Jeske bis hin einem sehr entspannten und erholsamen Urlaub. Jederzeit gerne wieder. Wir wären am liebsten da geblieben...”

    “Wunderschönes Haus mit eingezäuntem Garten. Für den Hund optimal. Fantastische Aussicht über das Lauwersmeer. Die Ausstattung im Haus großzügig, alles sauber und funktional. Liebevoll dekoriert. Der Garten mit seinen Sitzmöglichkeiten ist perfekt. Für windige Tage gibt es einen windgeschützen Platz. Ich habe mich mit Hund hier sehr wohlgefühlt.”
